Callida Freemont RiskCheck (CFRC) is a UK/Nigerian security and risk management consultancy firm with 20+ years combined experience and focusing on supporting companies and private clients living and working in complex, challenging or high-risk environments.
What We Do
Pre-entry/Market Entry
CFRC can support organisations looking to enter a country, providing threat assessments, staff training, support for procurement of local logistics and security services as well as journey management services and site selection services.
Security Plan Development
CFRC are experts in developing bespoke security plans that take into consideration the specific risks faced by the organisation, the site and the operations they are undertaking. We follow UN Security Policies and ISO 31000 standards to ensure our clients are compliant and able to provide assurances to any stakeholders, investors or regulatory bodies.
Incident Tracker and Alerts
The Interactive Incident Tracker (InT) is not just a data base of security incidents in Nigeria and across Africa, but an online security information system, providing clients with real-time GIS security alerts including analysis and advisory post-incidents.

Crisis & Incident Management
CFRC understands the need for appropriate planning and hence supports organizations in the development of crisis management plans and policies, and preparedness of the crisis management team though drills and exercises.
Security Audit & Review
CFRC undertakes security reviews for organizations with existing security systems with the aim of determining effectiveness and appropriateness of these systems and processes, CFRC also undertakes security audits to assess the adherence to security policies and plans.

DIG Sha’aibu Lawal Gambo. (Rtd.)
Executive Chairman
DIG Gambo (Rtd) leads the team. He rose through the ranks and attained the position of DIG Finance and Admin & second-in-command (2i/c) to the Inspector- General of Police in 2016. He is a versatile and highly experienced officer who has worked in various departments including INTERPOL and Counter-terrorism.
Rob Ferrey
Executive Vice Chairman
Rob manages strategy and deployment. He is a former Royal Marines Captain with an MSc in Security and Risk Management. He is a commercially experienced safety and security professional who has demonstrated current and proven abilities in risk and security management, project management, training and security planning.
Babagbenro Oye Adeladun
Executive Vice Chairman
Oye, is a trained risk manager with various security certifications in Safety Management, Hazard Analysis, Conflict Analysis, Negotiation and Conflict Management, Terrorism Studies, Urban Crime Prevention and Security and Risk Management amongst others. Oye’s career in security and risk management witnessed him leading the deployment of various solutions and training programs to Nigerian institutions including the military and paramilitary.
Jan Grobler
Country Manager (Nigeria)
Jan served as the commander of a special forces’ unit and the Internal Security/Crime Intelligence Division of the South African Police Force, focusing on counter-terrorism, Arms Smuggling, Drugs and Organised Crime. Since retiring from the SA Police Force, he has participated in various private military and security related activities in many High and Extreme Risk theatres across the globe, with a particular focus on Africa and the Middle East.
