BASIC LIFE SUPPORT LEVEL 2
This Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency situation providing the casualty with critical life saving assistance until support arrives.
The qualification covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), primary survey, the recovery position and choking, and is delivered following the protocols set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.
A learner will gain first aid knowledge and the practical competence required to be able to help someone and potentially save a life.

Course Duration

Duration: 6 hours

Course numbers: 6-12 students per instructor

Can be delivered in the UK or internationally.

The course duration can be lengthened if being delivered internationally to allow for cultural and language restraints.

Certifications
The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training.
